I've just found this superroots blog about the (rich and colorful) experiences Voodoo Funk -a German DJ - had throughout a musical trip to West Africa. He's been from Guinea-Conacry to SierraLeone, to Nigeria and Ghana, and simply has tons of native tasty music to show off, besides impressions, stories, pics and comments on the "Motherland", as he describes.
One curious thing I got to know was that, in Benin, they have the custom of crossing out the dead of all the pictures where they show. It might be some arduous, painful duty, don't you think?
